It’s officially 2016, which means it’s finally time to transform Las Vegas into the center for the largest, most comprehensive baking event in the Western Hemisphere!
October may seem far down the line, but IBIE 2016 committee members have been hard at work planning an unforgettable series of networking, exhibits and education. In preparation for this exciting year, committee members and show organizers recently attended a face-to-face strategic planning meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.
Being a committee member involves a strategic eye to the future as we shape the show that will deliver the most value to every member of the industry, from baker to supplier and everyone in between. While this duty is challenging in and of itself, fulfilling IBIE duties while working full time elevates this responsibility to extraordinary. That’s right, our committee is comprised of volunteer members who perform their tasks as they continue working their day jobs at key industry organizations! Their great passion and dedication to the show is exemplary and their commitment to IBIE plays a huge role in the success of the event.
A behind-the-scenes look wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t get up close, so we asked our committee members to provide a few words about what powers their commitment to IBIE; what makes this event so valuable to the baking community?
“It has been fascinating to watch how much IBIE has grown in terms of developing its educational components. We all know that IBIE offers so much in terms of networking, new products and innovations, but the really valuable component that doesn’t often receive the spotlight is education. The IBIE classes, demos and hands-on experiences are something that I think add incredible value to our baker attendees.”
